New Year in UK

Got 3 days holiday from office, 30 Dec - 1 Jan 2011, and there I was, in UK to visit my dearest friend D.
Arrived 6:30 in the morning, I was detained by airport immigration, due to my travel record to Syria and Iran. After an hour questioning, I showed them this blog, and they confirmed that I was safe enough to enter UK.
Took the direct bus to Oxford (about 1 hour 45 minutes to the Glaucester Green Couch Station, GBP 27, WiFi available). Finally I could meet my dearest friend D!
Followed D to the hospital for his medical check, at night, we went to watch theater the Rapunzel and the Magic Pig.
The next day, we took the bus to London.
We stayed in really nicely located the Royal Houseguards hotel, close to Embankment Subway Station, just the opposite of the river from the London Eye.
After checked in, we went to the London Dungeon, a famous horror house.
At night, we went to see the New Year's Eve Fire Works, just in front of our hotel. So many people and frustrating cause they blocked many streets that we found difficulty to find restaurant for dinner and way back to our hotel.
The next morning, we went to London Eye and to the New Year Parade, close to our hotel.
Since the British Museum was closed, we went to the Natural History Museum, at South Kensington, which was really cool and D's favourite.
At 5:30pm, we separated, D went back to Oxford, and I went to Gatwick Airport.

A short but inspiring travel. Helped me to have 2011 Resolution: Setting Goals, to live with purposes, intentions, and goals. Thanks a lot D!
