Christmas in Dubai

Got 2 days holiday from office, and there we were... in Dubai with two young colleagues...
Arriving in Dubai, we went to eat Japanese at Kisaku, ordered a lot of pork pork pork... :) and beer...
After stopping by Burjuman shopping mall cause one colleague wanted to see IWC shop, the luxurious watch brand (the cheapest mechanical watch was USD 5,000!), we went to amazing Burj Khalifa... our first impression was WOW!!!
the tallest building in the world!
not only the tallest, the design and the surrounding were WOW!!! (comparing to previous tallest building in Taiwan)
we climbed to the observatory deck, purchasing the ticket previously online AED 100 (if buy on the day, they charge AED 400!!!).
i could get only from 6:30pm since earlier time was fully booked.
the view from the top was also WOW!!!

separated with the 2 colleagues, i went to have dinner with couchsurfers Mr.K from Kyrgiztan and his partner. the dinner was rabbit (not my first time though)!!! had a nice chatty night... thanks K and M!
the next day, we went to ski at the Mall of the Emirates... hadn't been skiing for more 3 years, needed a time to recall... the course was nice though not very long and the snow was good... nice experience snow skiing in the desert Dubai.... was really cold inside...
then we went to the Atlantis... to the Nasimi Beach to have late lunch and beer...
the ambience was really nice, relaxing.... enjoyed much the afternoon...
finally Dubai was nice, more than i expected.... thanks to my 2 colleagues... wouldn't be fun if i traveled single...
