Jordan 27-30 November 2009

Finished my 4 days traveling to Jordan, my first reaction is regretting that the traveling time was too short!
Could not visited all the places in my itinerary...
Maybe I just did not make a realistic plan, as pointed out by my traveling mate, Eric, before the travel.
I had to give up Jerash, one of the highlighted place in Jordan.
However, I really enjoyed the Dead Sea, even visited it twice. The first day, with Eric, we floated in the Amman Beach. On the last day, I drove from the very south of Dead Sea Highway to the very North, stopped at the free public beach and had fun time with local youngsters. I wished again I had more time to swim with the local and washed the salt at the hotspring nearby.
I also enjoyed exploring the Wadi Rum, climbing the rock and sand dunes. Emily, the British guide from the Bedouin Directions was a great company. Still admiring her climbing skill, wearing long skirt!
Petra was great and stunning and vast. Tired walking all the day up to the Monastry.
Driving the Kings Highway was great, though a bit dangerous. We were almost killed falling down to the canyon...
Mount Nebo was good also, looking down to Israel and Palestinian area, imagining Moses pointing the Promise Land to his people.
Really want to visit Jordan again, to finish what I could not visit this time ....
These are my best 5 pick-ups:
1. Floating in the Dead Sea
2. Exploring the Wadi Rum desert
3. First sight of El Khazneh after passing the Siq in Petra
4. Chatting with the locals at the public beach in the Dead Sea
5. Spending the night in the Wadi Rum desert, surrounding the fire, listening to the traditional instrument the Lute, great dinner.
2009年11月27日～30日、4日間の旅が終わって、最初の感想は、時間たりね～！でした。
そう、予定していたところ、全部いけなくて～泣
まあ、そもそも、無理な計画やってたから。
自分で運転するせいか、思ったより移動時間がかかったりして～。
ヨルダンのメインの見所、ジェラッシュは断念して見れなかったけど、ペトラ、死海、ワディラムだけは行きつくした。
おまけに、ショーバックとネボ山にも行って、マダバは車で通ったけど、観光は断念した。
死海は二回も行った。初日は有料ビーチで、最後の日は、無料のビーチで、地元の若者たちと交流できて楽しかった。
ペトラは、一日歩いて疲れた。その広さと偉大さに感動。
ワディラムの赤いデザートと白いデザートの組み合わせが美しい。
ネボ山で、モーゼが民たちに約束の地を指すイメージをしながら、イスラエル・パレスチナ地方を見下ろす～
ヨルダンは本当見所が多くて、観光にあう国やった。
無理やりにランクづけしようとしたら、思い出に残った経験準は：
１．死海でのうきうき、本当不思議な気分。
２．ワディラムの探索。岩山に登ったり、砂丘に上ったりした。Emilyさんのガイドは最高。
３．ペトラで、シークを通り開けにみえたエルハズネ。
４．死海の公共ビーチで、地元の若者との交流。
５．ワディラムの夜。みんなで火を囲んで、音楽を聴いたり、ディナーを食べたりして、寒い夜を過ごした。夜明けの夜空は星いっぱい。
